Information is provided here about
libraries around the world containing substantial quantities of material likely to be of use
to those whose interests are African in nature. Most of the institutions here have on-line
catalogues but others are included for reference purposes.
- Anti-Slavery International (ASI) at Thomas Clarkson House, The Stableyard, Broomgrove Road,
London SW9 9TL holds a contemporary and a historical collection of essential information and
literature on slavery, anti-slavery movements as well as human and civil rights issues. The
library is open during normal business hours and does not charge an admission fee. A
telephone call on 0171 9249555 prior to your visit is, however, appreciated. Visit the
ASI library website
to find out more and read the news about slavery in West Africa today.
